[SELF PORTRAIT] [SURREAL PHOTOGRAPHY] Kyle Thompson

Hm...surreal art. We love it. We present you Kyle Thompson, an American photographer with an eye for surreal, forests and abandoned houses. He creates macabre, eery or visionary portraits of himself, compositions that feel magic.

[FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY] [PHOTOGRAPHY] Joanna Kustra

Award winning photographer Joanna Kustra might be mostly into fashion but her unique vision makes every portrait have a certain je-ne-sais-quoi. There's a dark atmosphere to Kustra's photography, particularly in the collection that mixes brides and widows in compositions that almost haunt the eye, long after you've passed to the next artist

[FANTASY ART] [ILLUSTRATION] Tony DiTerlizzi

Remember back in childhood when we were so innocent we believed in the fairies that lived in the garden, under the tulips or in the forest, in mushroom caps? Tony DiTerlizzi's fairy art illustrations are quite close to what I imagined fantastic beings would look like. The American fantasy artist advises everybody to Never Abandon Imagination and taking a look at these beautiful creatures I'm ashamed to say I often forget about that.

[FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY] Rankin

You've got to love fashion photography even if Hollywood, New York Fashion Week or Elle aren't exactly your thing. Rankin and three makeup artists proved how fun and creative it can get with eye powders and glitter, bright colors and fantastic head accessories. Last year, the photographer released the third book in the series, a collaboration with makeup artist Caroline Saulnier.

"Caroline was an obvious choice to collaborate with on the third book in my beauty book series. We first met when we worked together on a Rimmel shoot four years ago. I quickly realised that she was one of the most highly skilled makeup artists I have ever worked with" Rankin said of his choice of Caroline Saulnier. "Technically, her precision is mind-blowing. What I couldn’t know from working with her on a commercial job is that she is a creative visionary – her work is conceptually fascinating. There is a lot of sensuality in her images, as well as a real raw edge to them. Working with Caroline is inspiring" he added.
